Week 2: Intro to F.C.P ~

Its another day for NMD302, teaches about final cut pro something that I am avoiding for several years. Well Eric starts off of explaining what are the steps of the normal workflow, and always always starts with a planning, I guess that it is the best step to start off to organize things well before we straight onto doing something and might get lost or stuck in the progress. Next, comes to getting media, by shooting videos, or get pictures and videos from other sources. After that we will have to build up our story, arrange it and start editing it. We used cut in adobe premiere but in FCP we used trim to seperate the video between, then we will put in some effects and transitions continued by adding text/translation and some extra effects with it. Audio would be the last one to edit, but for me, in some video editing such as commercial/trailer/pilot i would normally use music as editing background to make the video transition according to the beat of music. I believe that would bring a greater effect and music effects only would be the last one to put up.

So this time Eric gave us assignment on using FCP to edit some video clips by putting transition between them to look smooth than one clip jump to another clip might look very jumpy. And this is it.
